1. Diabetes not only inflicts obese but skinny as well
2. Heart problems, while being overweight does place unneeded stress on the heart, there are skinny folks with heart problems
3. Electric bills, you have to explain that one.
4. And my favorite - Fat people have huge food bills. Are you ok? did you bump your head? LOL. Geez, I don't think this is further from the factual attempt you made. Health nuts spend tons of cash on health food. Gluten free products are nearly double the cost of gluten products. Fresh produce is seasonal which means expensive. I'm no model, not skinny nor obese and I spend over 700/mo on groceries. Damn spices alone are nearly 5 bucks a jar.
But you really want to know what an atrocity is? Eating out is getting to be less expensive than home cooking. Steaks (t-bone/porterhouse) here in California are upwards 10/lb. Asparagus is over 2 bucks a bunch. Damn I live a few miles from a garlic farm and they cost .79 each. If you serious add up the cost to prepare a home meal, eating at a buffet would be a better choice
As for souls, well that is a philosophical debate for another time.
Good points. IN fact....in reference to grocery bills....poor people tend to be fat because cheap food is very high in calories, carbohydrates, and fats. Like you said, eating healthy is what's expensive (I should know.....I buy lots of fish, fruits and vegetables and cook it at home.....not cheap!)
As far as electric bills go, I think the writer was referring to the 'sweating' issue. People who are obese tend to be hot a lot of the time, and therefore run the air conditioner more.
Although heart disease and diabetes can afflict anyone, both problems are exacerbated by obesity.
 The bad news is you have houseguests. There is no good news. 

Being fat is not a sign of morbidity. You have been culturally programmed to believe so but countless studies show otherwise.
Attraction is also largely a cultural construct and stating that, "all human..." Do anything really shows your ignorance on the matter. Sexuality and attraction are vastly divergent depending on where you live. Humans are evolutionarily attracted to people whom you would likely classify as overweight. Cameras have nothing to do with health.
