Weird and Repulsive

Of course the main draw here is to see Elijah, because an unknown would have made it overlooked.
Great job on special effects by Greg Nicotero. He is a master craftsman.
Creepy feeling accomplished. For true gore fans. Made me squeamish in several parts, and that is no easy feat.

It was overlooked anyway but it was a very effective movie IMO at what it was trying to do. I think even with an unknown it would of gotten the same response as really the only people who really knew about or cared about this movie were fans of the original. I think Elijah wood did great but aside from him I thought the score and direction were pretty top notch as well. The first scene is probably my favorite after he drives away from that woman and is driving over the bridge to the amazing score and as he's driving through the city, the music just adds so much to it.

I love that scene so much too. That exact bridge part you speak of is amazing with that music. Wow.

Agreed. I'm not much for gore these days but I have to give it credit. Very repulsive.

Let me under your skin. 

I don't think Wood is the big draw here at all. The fact it's a remake of an infamous horror flick, or is mostly 1st person POV, are both bigger reasons for watching the movie to the average horror fan.
