Sex Scenes.

One “complaint” I’ve heard thrown at this series is that there are far too many sex scenes involving the main character played by Elisabeth Moss. Personally I don’t mind a lot of sex scenes in a show as long as they serve the purpose of developing the characters rather than just being there to satisfy the base needs of some viewers. I’m just wondering if people found this to be an issue with the series or not? The way some of my mates compare it to shows with so many pointless sex scenes like Spartacus and Strike Back has got me interested in this subject.

WTF? There were no pointless sex scenes in Spartacus. All of them were very motivated, had an impact on the story and became integral for the narrative world of extremeties both with sex and violence.

Strike Back, perhaps, has sex for the sake of having sex, but it would be a different (and not as good) show without it.

Yep, was way over the top. Puzzlingly excessive and unnecessary. Weird. Are the writers mentally ill?
