When Robin has Platt's computer, she takes it to two local hackers. She mentions that they are friends of her brother's. What brother? Where is he? What was the point of mentioning a brother if he never shows up to be with his dying mother? Did I miss some explanation of her missing brother?

And, on a side note, has anyone wondered if Robin's father (the one who raised her) who died by drowning had a helping hand via Matt?

I guess this brother is living in Australia, or far away. Although now that you say it, he doesn't show up for the funeral. It isn't that relevant to the plot though. The important thing is that they got Platt's secret folder.
