I'm sure it's just me but I hate it when they cast Americans in roles like these (British, Aussie, New Zealander). No matter how good the accent is, one is still aware that it's a put-on accent, and it's distracting. Why couldn't they just have cast a New Zealander in this role, or at least an Aussie?
shareThere aren't many good New Zealand actors and the BBC were probably too nervous about wasting their money. The sad thing is it was all wasted anyway on terrible writing and directing!

I would say my memory is not what it used to be. But I don't remember what my memory used to be.
What do you mean the accent of Matt was way off? He is a Scottish actor with a Scottish accent, he wasn't putting any accent on at all.
