Accents

I'm sure it's just me but I hate it when they cast Americans in roles like these (British, Aussie, New Zealander). No matter how good the accent is, one is still aware that it's a put-on accent, and it's distracting. Why couldn't they just have cast a New Zealander in this role, or at least an Aussie?

There aren't many good New Zealand actors and the BBC were probably too nervous about wasting their money. The sad thing is it was all wasted anyway on terrible writing and directing!

they wanted to put stars in it so it would hopefully get a larger audience. Do you know hoe many British actors play Americans? does that not bother you? Yu do realize the role of Matt was played by a Scottish actor? His accent was way off. Moss was more convincing than he was.

I would say my memory is not what it used to be. But I don't remember what my memory used to be.

What do you mean the accent of Matt was way off? He is a Scottish actor with a Scottish accent, he wasn't putting any accent on at all.
