I don't think they'll have a hard live because their actions at the end of the movie are redeemable to fix.
I know from personal experience that if a stolen car is recovered, the police considers this a case close. If the perpetrator is not caught, they will not do anything about it because the amount of money and resources it'll take capture a petty thief.
Dylan can easily go back home with Becky and explain to Giddon why he had to leave to help his supposed "girlfriend" that he claimed to have anyway. As hard as Giddon is to him, the film gave a few notions that he liked the kid. So who knows... at the most Dylan can spend a couple of months in jail for breaking the terms of his parole.
Rebecca will most likely have a harder time getting out of her marriage. Phil looks like he can make her life a living hell. Plus with a history of mental illness, I feel like it'll be harder for anyone to take her seriously. Having Dylan physically in her life might make a strong case that her husband admitted her for the affair.
Either way, I don't see a long-term problem that will hinder their relationship.
