Hate to be 'that' person ... (spoilers)

Spoiler alert.

Anyway, the most unbelievable thing to me in this movie (I mean the whole telepathy thing is suspension of disbelief, so I accepted it)...is that she had a metal fork in her room in the psych ward. I saw that and gasped. No way, no. They wouldn't allow a mental patient to have any "sharps" in a room like that...such as a metal fork. Maybe she could use one in the cafeteria with others watching...

but to me that fork is a weapon. and she even used it to pick the lock, sooo

Hmm. Hadn't occurred to me.... Quite right about that. I overall enjoyed the movie because I'm a sucker for romance, and you gotta love the concept, but yeah, the script was a weak one. Was a bit on autopilot. It's the kind of story that writes itself and you stick with it just to see if it's going to have a predictable but serviceable happy ending or a predictable but serviceable sad ending. And very inappropriate usage of the zoom. Like, it was a movie that didn't feel like it needed it. The director is no Leone when using the zoom.

She wasn't a "typical" patient... She didn't even have paperwork to be there, her husband was doing it all on the down low, so I'm sure she was giving special treatment.
Aside from that, some patients are not on the same "level" as others. She wasn't hospitalized for attempting suicide, so she didn't need to be watched as closely. (She also had laces in her shoes, if she were on suicide watch they would have taken those too.)
