Something I just noticed (bloody fingers)?

After Alien is done talking to Faith (Selena Gomez), before she decides to leave Florida...the next scene his fingers have blood on them. I take it that Faith was a virgin. Which might explain the blood. If you get what I'm saying. Did Alien 'do something' to her? Something that wasn't shown in the film?

The movie is a nonlinear narrative, scenes are being shown out of order. The blood is from the girl who was shot in the arm even though it hadn't happened yet. You see his bloody fingers again while playing piano after he sews up her wound.
