Hypocritical.

This movie is supposed to be a warning about the depraved behavior of young people on spring break, but you just can't help but get the feeling that Harmony Korine privately celebrates it. If he weren't directing movies, he'd be producing "Girls Gone Wild" videos. He glamorizes all the behavior that he wants you to believe he condemns.

reply

He doesn't pretend to condemn anything portrayed in this movie.

It's high exploitation cinema. It's grotesque and beautiful and shallow and profound. It is what it's about. That's not a fault. That's vision.
