Intelligent people with great taste understand what it is. Others don't. Sounds pretentious as *beep* but unfortunately it's the truth. You 'see' it for what it is and appreciate the aesthetic or it goes right over your head.

It's a glorious fever dream/tone poem rich in symbolism as well as utter meaninglessness when you hold it up to the light in a different way. If you don't appreciate abstract or avant grade art you just aren't going to recognize it. People who only watch mainstream movies and basic cable tv & think modern art is *beep* should really just stay away. If you're closer to the 'average american' it just won't register in any meaningful way at all.

It's a T&A flick with a half azz plot added to make it mainstream. There's nothing to get. Sorry.

Yeah right. You either see the beauty of the Emperor's new clothes or you don't. By the way, I love how you copy-pasted the 'fever dream' descriptor from the review at rogerebert.com. Apparently "Intelligent people with great taste..." can't think for themselves. At least you were right about sounding as pretentious as fück.

I don't know if I'm intelligent or not. There are so many things to know that we don't know :) To cut it short I liked the movie a lot, but it doesn't mean I'm intelligent in any way. Just saying that we should be careful labeling people according to their tastes. It's too complex than it seems. We cannot categorize by this movie who is intelligent or not :)
