Beautiful rich people doing expensive stuff!

i'm more interested in why Christian Bale keeps doing movies about knights

I'm getting the same reaction from the trailer. Rich people = empty meaningless lives while struggling with the search for their own humanity.

That being said, I'm a Terrence Malick fan. So, I'm going to assume from the trailer it's about somebody who has forgotten who he was and is seeking to answer that.

Death is the standard breach for a complex prize.

While I hate the over-representation of rich white people in Hollywood films, there's nothing necessarily wrong with an artist portraying what he knows best- Malick has been a rich white guy for decades. If he suddenly started doing poor black guys pondering life in the projects it would probably ring false.

I haven't seen this yet, but have loved most of his works other than To the Wonder, so I'll reserve judgement of the rich-white-people thing until then.

But yeah, more diverse directors, scripts, and actors in the industry would be welcome.
