At this point, you’re either on board with Terrence Malick’s ethereal, narration-heavy, visually spellbinding films or you’re fed up. Me, I’m always buying what Malick is selling, and his latest — about a “screenwriter living in LA tries to make sense of the strange events occurring around him” — is something I’m excited to see on the biggest screen possible. Featuring a cast including Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Natalie Portman, Brian Dennehy and a whole score of other people who will likely only appear on screen for a minute or two, Knight of Cups is sure to inspire much conversation and reflection.

Coming from a life long die hard Malick fan, it is a piece of narcissistic garbage. Don't buy into the hype on this one, the guy needs to wake up and start working a lot harder on his films.

Same. I am on board. I'm not going to like everything from my fav directors. This one is garbage. I'm still going to see the next one but I don't know. This one is ridiculous.

I decided to take it as an abstract dream...and I STILL don't like it. Brian Dennehy was the only interesting part.

It's ok to like more than one actor. :))
