This is like all Malick movies: Visually STUNNING, whispered/difficult to hear voice-overs and about 30 minutes too long.

This movie should be titled "Christian Bale Walking Around". The film is beautifully shot (like all Malick projects) but it is a chore to finish.

It was so stunning. It must look so much more stunning on the big screen. I agree with you on the "too quiet". I had to turn my volume up like all the way, and could barely hear.

Yes, that whispered voice-over is a Malick trademark so I should have expected it . . . but it was still frustrating (even in The Thin Red Line). Cheers

Get a good surround sound with speakers. Especially the channel. Envelop yourself in this experience

I should upgrade my system for sure, but you gotta admit that there is a lot of mumbled dialogue in Malick movies. I love his films, but just sayin' . . .
