Why did the tarot card reader speak in Serbian?
My grandparents are Serbian and I think this was the most surprising and random things that popped out of this film full of random things.
shareWell she is played by my idol, Slavitza Jovan, who played Gozer the Gozerian in Ghostbusters. She is a VERY rare sight! She was born in Serbia and has quite a heavy accent, which is why her voice was dubbed in Ghostbusters, and in another movie where she also happened to play a tarot card reader, her character never spoke a word. The last movie she was in was a small part as an evil nurse in House on Haunted Hill from 1999 - so, my guess is, they wanted her specifically for the part, and allowed her to speak her own language. I bought the DVD just to see her, so I wish her part had been longer haha!
