This is a film alot will hate from its loosely structured plot to its confusing narrative. Add to that the fact that Terrence Malick can be an acquired taste especially of late. Perhaps you'll even need to be a fan of his films to even truly appreciate this art. Who knows but I was completely enthralled for 2 hours from every frame to every angle of every shot its stunning. Its beautiful from beginning to end with gorgeous cinematography from the light to the colors everything is a painting. This film is edited greatly both film and sound wise. The film always has a prefect pace with the camera moving alot and the cast being in motion most the film it just really flows. The voice over and acting was top notch. I was disappointed that Cate Blanchett and Natalie Portman weren't in this longer. The score blended with the film nicely and was a bit more subtle. Its a film I'll have to watch multiple times and dissect to really peel back all the layers. Its a film I'd suggest watching multiple times or not at all.
