If I loved the tree of life, will I love this?

Aside from beauty of the film, I loved the themes and the acting of Tree, so does this film follow suit, or is it nothing but pretty pictures?

In my opinion, it's better than The Tree of Life. But I loved both movies.

There's something wrong with Esther.

I don't think it reaches the masterpiece level that "The Tree of Life" did, but it's still an incredible achievement.

Tree is one of my top 10 all time films and I HATED this film. Malick has his apologist fanboi/gal club but I call em how I see em. I loved New World, TRL and Tree. His "Tone Poem" era stuff is great. These latest offerings just feel like borderline parodies of himself with excessive narcissistic meditative and less visual poetry like tree or NW. He was far better when making a film a decade.
