The pyramid on the movie poster...
Is this about the Illuminati or secret societies?
I see those pyramids everywhere.

The whole trailer was Illuminati overload. This stuff ain't so subtle anymore. Must be almost time.
"I said no camels, that's five camels, can't you count?"
Most of the time, when a person hears about this Illuminati/masonic/devil worship stuff, they imagine a bunch of guys twisting their moustaches, trying to spy on us, or think "how can all these talented, rich, powerful people worship the devil", and they dismiss it.
The thing is, there are a lot of influential people that follow a gnostic philosophy, they believe that the God from the Bible is an impostor, some kind of demi-god/demon that has our spirits trapped in an evil "material world". They call him among many names, "The Demiurge". On the other hand, Lucifer is actually a kind, just-as-powerful spirit sent by the REAL god to awaken us.
Well, the entertainment industry is filled to the rim with gnostic people, that's why every commandment and teaching in the Bible is some kind of checklist to openly defy, after all, "The Demiurge" is an impostor, according to them. "Thou shall not kill, huh? OK, let's make dozens of shows to execute people in front of everyone, let's make killing cool". "Don't cheat on your wife, huh? Let's make movies and shows where everyone jumps from bed to bed, Demiurge orders us to avoid promiscuity, f-that". And so on.
In other words, they reverse the roles, Lucifer is the good one, and the God from the Bible is an evil opressor. The Matrix and Tron: Legacy are a couple of examples of this philosophy.
I actually found a link with an explanation written by a luciferian gnostic himself, check the chapters that refer to Lucifer/Satan as well:

Of course, their master tells them to keep their worship as hidden as possible, after all, this poor souls are following the master of deception.

My son thought it was a clever product placement for DORITOS -- but I think your theory above makes more sense. Great info, BTW.
The rabbit hole gets deeper...
Wow great to see awake people. Though most are still asleep and time is drawing to a close, so they're just getting more blatant with it.
I noticed the symbolism in the thumbnail of the poster and watched the trailer not knowing anything about the story. I thought it was about mk ultra and fractured personalities out of the gate with the images.
But Hollywood is mostly owned by jews, why do they accept this. The pyramid and other egyptian symbols represent Pharoah against Moses. These people worship the enemies of the God of the Bible.
shareWell, if the fallen angels were in direct contact with God and one third still decided to follow Lucifer, imagine us poor human beings. In the Old Testament there are many stories about Jews that decided to worship the Baals instead of their God Yahweh.

Maybe I misinterpret you but is this some sort of irony you're spewing or ... ? If you're actually serious, I must say that I find your signature truly ironic. :) If you were joking then the signature is a nice touch I think.
Yes conspiracy theorists will see the symbol and think of those things. But someone who actually who actually knows what the original meaning for these symbols were will tell you that the "pyramid" or upward triangle (which is more appropriate) represents the elemental energy of fire. It is a representation of concepts we cannot (fully) comprehend directly. Fire is generally the passion, lust, desire, and all the strong feelings we are able to feel. It is a divine fire and it is used to drive us humans. To give us a push in the back. To make our clocks tick. To get us off our ass.
And no, there is nothing evil about this symbol.
And if you were serious, I think it is a bit sad that you regard all the hard work of everyone involved in this film the work of evil forces.. This film is avant-garde cinema because it tries to break through the thick veil of our illusory culture and show it to other people. Inspire people. Hopefully.
Imagine what would happen when suddenly everyone regards his/her problems merely as gifts from above? To help you learn about yourself? To help you elevate yourself to know a higher truth.. remember the pearl..

Ok fair enough I get where you're coming from. But I very much doubt Malick to have anything to do with the corruption of the original meanings of these symbols. Yes I am quite positive that he used these symbols very elaborate and carefully in order not to corrupt their meaning. And IMO he succeeded.
He used the Tarot symbolism heavily and as far as my knowledge stretches he hasn't been untruthful about the interpretations. Then again, Tarot is all about interpretation but yeah.. :)
It's like you say: the truth is hidden in plain sight, it is there right in front of us.. but most of the time we gaze passed it without noticing.
I agree that the entertainment industry flashes these symbols and yes probably they don't even know what it really means. If you think you can brainwash people or get rich by making triangle faces then lol.. then you believe in superstition and your own illusions. Not saying it is impossible but I kindly doubt these idiots know how it works. Let alone have the discipline to make it work by will.
Truth is that lots of people in the entertainment industry are bat sh*t crazy, I have seen this with my own eyes. But there is nothing to fear about them because they are also just humans trying to make sense of it all. Yes the entertainment industry knows (consciously or not) how to influence subconsciousness by using symbols. That is why Malick showed the fashion shoot to show how fake it really is and also the big bill boards with the fake, sexy women on.
But Malick isn't one of those idiots, or at least not anymore. My intuition says he's legit. The guy doesn't even attend his own press conferences. Doesn't give interviews. Doesn't attend screeners and premieres nor award shows. He just tries to make beautiful and meaningful films. He keeps his intention pure. Which is not an easy thing to do. I really respect the man for his extraordinary efforts.
EDIT: I mean the protagonist is a guy who is in this industry and just like everyone other mortal being he feels like *beep* quite often. Malick succeeded in showing that behind all the glamour and images, there is vulnerability. No one really knows what is going on but that's fine. The entertainment industry isn't evil or whatever. It is merely a reflection of our collective consciousness and subconsciousness. It is the way the world looks like... today, in the now. And it is very meaningful in all sorts of ways. Everyone sees it a little bit differently. But as the film suggests this is all temporary. These are all structures created by humanity to be able to understand the world and function in it. But don't take this too literally, don't hold it as the truth and nothing but the truth because it is only a representation of the truth, not truth itself. And that's the whole point I think.
It is not the fault of the entertainment industry that so many people on the earth buy into their sh*t. Everyone is responsible for his own thoughts, beliefs, conclusions or whatever..
Then again if you're aware of this and still want to function in the entertainment industry then you're probably using it for your own egoistic interests.. and then it can become a bad thing.
It is all about the intention behind it. And trust me, most of these people don't have a clue about what they are doing. Don't believe they try to brainwash you or whatever. In stead, don't trust your own mind all the time because that's the thing that actually deceives you. Not the world.
I agree that the entertainment industry flashes these symbols and yes probably they don't even know what it really means. "So perhaps these directors are just giving hints at how the world really works behind the curtain"
I think that is what art is all about. Whether you do it consciously or subconsciously.. in the end I think it's just a representation of your own experience that you share with everyone else.
Lucifer/devil is not what you think it is. It is actually just a metaphore for the obstacles we face each day in life. In one sense there's actually nothing evil about it but that doesn't mean I'm promoting asocial behavior.
Terrence Malick has integrity and you see it in his works. I'm almost 100% certain that this is true. He represents what he is saying in his work; he walks the talk.
For example: he doesn't appear in public and doesn't care about the image the masses think of him. He refuses interviews and all that nonsense. He strictly wants it to be about the work. And I admire that.
If you're really interested you might want to do some in depth research on the Tarot. Be careful though because a lot of nonsense has been written about it as well.
But again: the Tarot and all of its archetypes are just metaphores for the 'things' we encounter in life. Our subconscious minds work mostly through imagery and if you want to start to learn to communicate with your own subconscious mind, the Tarot is a very effective tool to do so.
The goal is to slowly start to unclutter the mess that our conscious and subconscious minds are and when you achieve a crystal clear reflection of reality a new aspect of reality will start to reveal itself to you. And it's one of the most beautiful experiences one can have in a human life. It's the alchechemical 'gold' that they talk about; and gold being a methaphor for something you can't really explain in words; only direct experience will do it justice.
Be careful with this world view of masters and slaves because it can really suck you in and hold you prisoner. That doens't mean that this world view isn't correct but it's just a very difficult one to live a happy life in.
Then again: I think that you overestimate the occult knowledge of financially rich people.. because if you have true knowledge and understanding, you realize that having an insane amount money isn't actually really fulfilling at all. It might be for some time but after a while when the kick wears out you're left in a state of spiritual poverty and emptiness anyway.. And that's another thing Terrence Malick is trying to tell us through Knight of Cups.
Most of this "occult" imagery isn't actual occult imagery anyway. Most of these people don't really realize what they are doing, they are just following a trend. But such is NOT the case with Terrence Malick. Pay attention to his films and study Tarot and then pay attention to life and everything you experience. Do this daily and you'll uncover a lot of hidden things inside of yourself that will help you to grow into something that is just a little bit more than human. But be wary: this can be a very difficult and painful proces depending on how *beep* up' your own mind currently is. Mine was pretty *beep* up so I had to pull myself through a lot of *beep* But if you pull through, be prepared to be amazed by what you'll find.
There literally aren't enough words in a lifetime to communicate properly what I'm trying to say; so I'll end by saying that you have a choice and you can take the ride if you really want to. Because only by taking the ride you might one day really understand what I'm talking about. :)
Best wishes and safe journey!
Nice post. I have always found Tarot interesting and intriguing, if nothing else just the images are very cool and I bought a Tarot deck at one time, because my life intersected with someone who had a lot of knowledge about these type thing (along w/Reiki and things like that) and it ignited a spark, but I have so many other interests I never really got that deep into it. I tried, read a dummies book, watched videos, but it's just so much information to absorb and attempt to remember/memorize. There is still some subconscious insight that you can take from them though. The numbers I guess can give a basic oversight and framework to start.
You see parallels in Masonic imagery to the High Priestess/pillars. Another movie that referenced the Hanged man was the Ninth Gate, which I loved.
Anyhow, I still haven't been able to see Knight of Cups yet and I agree with your message. Feel free to add more.
A fun and easy excercise to learn Taro is to each day shuffle your deck and draw a random card upon which you consciously think about some sort of insight you want to gain for the day.
Shortly after you wake up (you might also write down your dreams if you can recall them; because dreams have a lot to do with the subconscious) you just take your deck and shuffle it. After that you draw one single card randomly and place it in front of you. For a few moments try not to think but feel the impression you're getting. After that, start noticing some of the details in the image and be aware of thoughts, feelings, whatever pops into you.
After that you can go online (or buy a decent book) and read about the card. All in all you can spend 15 minutes on this or even up to an hour or more if you wish. When reading, try to understand the essense of the meaning of card and its symbolism and when you think you have arrived at some understanding, try to think about how and where you see the meaning of the card reflected in your own personal life and maybe also on a bigger scale (community, your country or maybe the current state of the world in the way you view it) or whatever. There's no rules for this.. you make the rules.
For the rest of the day, leave the card sitting out in the open in your living room or at your desk or whatever and allow yourself to reflect back on the card at some other points during the day. You don't HAVE to but if it happens, just be aware of it and the thoughts, feelings, impressions that pop into you.. you don't have to write them down but I would advice you to so anyway. It's very helpful to train your memory!
After a while you'll probably start noticing some of the images in your dreams or sometimes randomly in your thoughts or even in the real world. Whenever this happens, take a moment to reflect on it and try to imagine how it applies to your life or reality or whatever.
The goal here is to get familiar with the images and their meanings while at the same time grow the muscle of your awareness.
You're actually sort of imprinting your being (mostly your subconsiousness) with these images.
It's a very easy excerise and it's also a lot of fun to do during the day on those moments on which you need a little break during work or whatever. It's a form of active, conscious meditation if you will. A mind game. And it's like a muscle: the more you are aware of your own thoughts and feelings and what they mean or represent in your life and the universe the easier it will become to remain in such a state of mind all the time! Clarity!
You can also combine this with daily unconscious meditation in which you try to stop the thinking and notice more of what you're feeling. From my own experience I can assure you that by doing these two types of 'meditations' you can start to gain a lot of insights every day. You'll regain a sense of wonder and something magical about the world. And whenever the going gets though, reflect on it; don't suppress it but accept it as gifts that create for you an opportunity to learn and grow!
The goal is to expand your own awareness of the way in which you experience reality. If you put in some work and effort you'll start noticing changes pretty soon. A lot of synchronicities and a lot of those 'ahaa-moments'.
I liked The Ninth Gate as well.. and the rest of Polanski's work also. The Ninth Gate kind of reflects what I said ealier: most of these rich people think they know something about this stuff but in fact they only care about the prestige and not the work itself. And this state of mind will gain you nothing meaningful; they are completely missing the point.
It's not as glamorous as people think.. this stuff is hard work and it's very personal. Because if you really get it, you understand that you as a person can have tremendous influence on the external world around you.. and with great power comes great responsibility. It's not an easy path; a very bumpy road. But if you keep your integrity pure you'll do a great job!
Because don't mistake: a being with expanded awareness has a certain power not everyone has.. but it's not easy wielding that power with honor, grace and a great capacity for empathy. And on the other hand it's not always easy to have patience with other people who lack this kind of awareness.. but the worst thing you can do is blame them or be mad at them. Each has his own path to walk. Live and let live.
And most importantly: keep your work to yourself. Try not to let yourself slip into brag-mode or maybe the-need-to-find-confirmation-mode by talking about it excessively to others trying to impress them or get their approval. You need only one person's approval and that is your own. This will keep your intention pure and intact from peer pressure and especially something far worse: ego inflation.
On the other hand, if you think you can help someone by talking about it, you may try, but don't talk all your energy out of you. Save it to do YOUR work. Trust me, you'll need it!
I could refer some books for you to look up but I'm not going to do that because this is very personal stuff.. you have to learn to find your own way.. do the work, look for it, and when you find material that resonates with you and feels right (learn to trust your intuition) you can start to practise.
The last piece of advice I'll leave you with is this: do this step by step, don't rush it and don't put to much pressure on yourself if you don't really feel that that is what you should do. Also: start small and very gradually build your way upwards.. take all the time in the world you need. The most important thing is to first bring your subconscious and conscious mind in alignment and balance.. these are your foundation and if they lack discipline, balance and strong will, you might end up in the wrong places and it could very bad for your being indeed..
I wish you a very joyful and insightful path!
Thanks for taking the time to type all that out. Very good info.
shareWhat exactly is the point you're trying to make posting a link to a photoshopped Christian Bale pic?
shareIlluminatis don't exist. And not everybody or everything you don't understand is satanism. What's evil is your own ignorance, but at least you are asking yourself questions (hoping you're young).
There is not more Christian than Terrence Malick.
In fact the moral conclusions of all his film wether Tree of Life or Knights of Cups can't get more christian that this...
I just love people who can make such claims as fact, just pulling statements out of their ass, most of whom probably never read a thing about the topic.
Many directors have these symbols in their movies. Doesn't necessarily mean they worship the devil. Could be warning signs that these people exist and showing what their agenda is hiding in plain sight for those who can decode it. Could be something altogether different. Some might be complicit and required to show them.
Symbols also change meaning over time (ie: Swastika). I haven't yet been able to see this movie and I don't necessarily think Malick is "one of them", but I do believe secret societies exist and control important institutions with key people in important places...I don't know what they might call themselves and it doesn't matter (Freemasons, Illuminati, Knights of Malta, Skull and bones, Bohemian grove...and many others do in fact exist...if you don't believe that ...well you're just not awake and there's no hope)...or if they think their magic really works, but they definitely carry out rituals and use numerology, if nothing else as symbolic or revelatory to the initiated. I also believe in the MK ultra mind control. These sorts of things are alluded to in many movies/books/military documents. I was not aware of it til several years ago and since then I see the hidden symbols and meanings in things that I never noticed before. I look at movies in a whole new light now.
Based on some of what I know about Knight of cups, perhaps this film is a cautionary tale about making the wrong choices....there, Malick still get's to be a Christian. Also someone else made the poster I'm sure. You see the same symbolism on Band album covers. Members may or may not have a choice? There are certainly other movies more worthy of this discussion (see Kubrick).
These organizations are not much different than a corporate, religious or military structure (much like a pyramid..no coincidence). You got low level people who do their jobs, think and do good things and are good people, but are also shielded from important knowledge that only those at the top know about. This could be a merger/acquisition/layoff/trades or something more nefarious..to use a corporate analogy. Religions have hidden/omitted knowledge for centuries. Fact. Governments have lied and hidden things from their people for centuries FACT. Corporations have lied/hidden/deceived for centuries. Fact. It's still happening everyday all around the world. Imagine a world 100s of years ago when religions and aristocracy did not allow common people to be literate. Hell it was illegal for slaves to read just a few hundred years ago in this country. Things evolve, but the structure remains. The technology just changes.
Some of these dumb hollywood/music puppets might just be being directed to do this stuff and might just be low level pawns.
You see them everywhere because the world is run by freemasons who use the symbolism in almost all media.

shareGreat thread here and like some other poster above posted, it is great to see awake people here. Funny enough i did not come here to discuss or read any truth/ agenda stuff. But interestingly enough I had similar thoughts upon watching this trailer. Originally i came here to kind of get my mind off of all that stuff and see what Bale had lined up this year.
To the open minded and awake on this thread. Take a viewing to this video I had recently watched. This stuff is really going down guys. And as someone very observant above said, they aren't even subtle about it anymore.
I apologize as i'm not the most savvy on my computer and wasn't able to make the link below clickable but just take a second to copy and paste. Its worth it! Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.
