Did anybody else feel this way? I kept waiting for it to end, and then another damn title card for a "chapter" would pop up.
It looked as if somebody shot a really long music video and tried to make a disjointed, nonsensical film out of it.
I would rather be dragged through that desert and horsewhipped than ever sit through this drivel again.
No. It's not prententious. You should know Malik by now. I thought the cinematography was excellent. It's a movie u have to see more then once to get a feel for it.
shareWe do know Malick and he cranks out some of the most pretentious piles of dog poo in all of Hollywood. And his fans swoon over it like my dog does his bone. Malick could put out a 4 hour film of steam coming off a pile of dog poo and his fans would fall all over themselves at his amazing "art".

With every new Chapter Card, my friends and I turned to each other and said: "But wait! There's more!".
I never wondered what would happen if you gave some Hollywood high school kids a camera and some bus tickets, and access to academy award winning actors. But I don't have to wonder about it any more, I have seen "Knight of Cups".
