CF's jacket

Dear Dull_boy,

The jacket appeared to be a variation on the M65 (1965) field jacket.
However his (Colin F's) jacket had a large button on each of the four front pockets instead of the snap fasteners.

Furthermore it seems that he was not wearing the detachable inner liner of the jacket.

ps just in case you want to recreate his style of jacket.
I suggest you purchase a black M65 field jacket from any good army/navy surplus store and stitch four buttons over the snap fastener parts. Or if you are not handy stitching/altering or tailoring take the jacket to a tailors or alterers and ask them to stitch on button holes and buttons in place of the snap fasteners.

It may save you a fortune instead of buying some fancy designer brand and you'll have a truly unique jacket.

ps you may wish to spend about $500 bucks on the above jacket but I suggest checking the Army and Navy stores first and if you are stuck just get a garden black variety M65 jacket and get the buttons altered.
