So they cancelled this show too...BIG sigh....

I´m just wondering about all the good shows that get cancelled. There has to be something wrong with people who are watching since they seem to prefer reality shows with people pissing on each other and trying to be so discusting they can... It´s the same here though, shows that has bitchy and stupid people trying to make as much crap as possible to inflict on their "friends" are all the rage... SCARY... What does it tell us about the people watching?...

I´m gonna miss this show very much. It was good and interesting and the main actor has not dieted, trained, put on new teeth, got a tan, filled his cheeks and lips, ied his hair...and so on... It´s boring to see all these "perfect" people who´s main thought are about their looks... Give me Backstrom back!!!!

Completely agree! This sucks. They cancel good shows like this and keep crap like dating naked, etc...

I don't think it was a victim of an imperfect character as much as a victim of the producers trying to push the gay angle too hard too fast. If you watch the shows and the correlated them to the ratings you find that as they cranked up the gay angle the ratings dropped.

Well in the original pilot, Gravely was a lesbian. So they actualy erased a "gay angle" from the new pilot.

I am enjoying Bakstrom so much just now.
It's being shown now in the UK
It's a delightful change from all the usual US police series.

Everyone doesn't look as if they are from a model agency, but are very watchable thanks to their portrayal of the characters.

I really look forward to it.

Is there any chance of another company taking it over to continue with it?

I'm gutted . It made such a nice change from the touchy-feely politically correct crap we're normally subjected to.

~ Its a shame b/c Backstrom was a great show. It was funny, gritty & thrilling. I enjoyed it a lot and now it isn't coming back.😟

When I think of some of the rubbish that carries on series after series getting renewed, it seems crazy that this marvellous series is finished.

When looking at what they do concentrate on showing...I think not... it´s reality shows with theme prostitution that sells obviously...just sad.

Reality shows are a cancer and should be excised from every kind of medium. I am so tired of hearing about ignorant, poorly educated bozos being pseudo-famous for absolutely no valid reason or talent.

I agree with the comment before mine. Reality shows are everything that's wrong with the world. People would rather watch a bunch of useless idiots sitting around a house all day or people selling their soul to Simon Cowell instead of intelligent, witty decent shows like Backstroke :(

I'm almost done with Season 1 and I'm so gutted that there won't be a second season. I loved the flawed characters, the non-PC humour, and Valentine! People are saying it was because of the gay angle? That can't be true, look at AHS, which is now an utter pile of *beep*
