I mean i really liked this show. At first i thought it was the best shonen anime ever(after fullmetal alchemist). First 100 episodes were great but after that the episode felt boring. I am talking about chimera arc, the arc had great potential the story was good, and even the pacing was great at first but climax fight was huge letdown. I think the writers were short on material so they plan to drag the show. But here every episode was filled with inner monologues and narrater's comments. I mean i am really sick of it. Even after 40 episodes nothing really happened. And there are many unncessary scenes. Sometimes i wish the king and his royal guard should kill gon and his friends and rule the whole world that would be the much better conclusion( i hope iam not the only only one who got this idea). And i heard that there are still 20 more episode till this arc is finished. I have already lost interest in this show or in this chimera arc, so my question is about the final arc of this show. I am skipping this arc because i know if i continue this i will start hating this show. so i am watching last 10 episodes. is last arc worth watching? I mean is it have anything to with chimera arc? please reply without any spoilers.(the above passage contains my personal views regarding H*H, so don't hate me and sorry for my bad English)

Congratulation, You played yourself.
HxH 2011 is considered one of the greatest anime of all time because of this arc.
if you can't take it no more, Skip to episode 111, that's when the Hunters invade the King's castle.
Knuckle, Shoot and Morel vs Youpi.
Killua vs Youpi.
Killua vs Pouf.
Netero vs The King.
Gon VS Pitou.
and the most important thing in the whole series: GON'S TRANSFORMATION.
i was like you at first, now i consider this my favorite anime arc ever.

First of all,thanks for the reply. I've already seen more than 100 episodes and now i'am bored. And you're wrong about the arc being the best arc in the series, according to me it is worst arc in the series ( again it's my opinion). The arc was good and it would've been great if the latter episodes weren't so boring. The starting episodes of the arc were great, the problem starts when the Hunters invade the King's castle. The fights were very slow and they don't have to mention every single detail, you know i was really pissed when after 5 or 6 episodes gon said "it was the first 3 minutes after we invaded the castle". It means it took them 5 episodes to cover 3 minutes of the battle. and that's insane. The arc has serious pacing issue. I remember the fight between that red monster and other guy who manipulate hands( sorry i don't remember the names), it has no purpose,i mean the guy throw punches at him and other guy blocked them, the red monster was ten times stronger than him and all he could do was to block his punches? he could've destroyed him in seconds( sorry if i missed anything). There are many unnecessary scenes which could've been edited. So, for me this arc is nothing but boring. so i've decided to drop this show. This show is in hiatus so i will skip the arc and start with last ten episodes when it start again. ( Sorry for my bad English).

Welp, i guess everything aint for everybody. Just know that the majority of anime fans are praising this arc for a reason.
The King vs Netero (Episode 126) and Gon vs Pitou (Episode 131) were the best episodes on the whole series.
Have you even finished the arc? You need to at least watch the whole arc before forming an opinion.
You gave up too soon. Go back and Watch Episode 116, Episode 126, and Episode 131.
Just watch these 3 episodes, Then tell me what you think.

Since this board appears dead, I wanted to ask this question here b/c you just recently answered someone. I've never seen HxH, mostly b/c people said that it ended without the ending, and sorry I didn't do my research on it. But did this show end like Bleach, where the manga is still going but the anime just stopped, did the entire series including manga just end suddenly, or is it like Berserk where the author has been writing it for years and decided to post 1 chapter a year or some crap like that. I just ask b/c I've heard nothing but good things, and have seen/read my fair share of manga/anime, but if it's like Berserk where I'm waiting a year just for one chapter than I don't know if I should get into this. I love some shonens btw One Piece being my favorite and I've been watching and reading it for 15 years now, so length doesn't turn me off to a story? Just curious thanks in advance if you give me an honest answer.

it's kinda like Berserk, but it's not.
The Mangaka always take breaks because of health issues.
The Manga now is on hiatus. The last chapter was released in 2014.
The Anime caught up with the manga and that's why the anime stopped.

Besides all of that, This Anime is one of the greatest animes ever created.
if you loved One Piece then you're gonna love HxH. it has the same Adventure/Friendship theme.
Except, HxH is more mature and a lot darker than One Piece.

Honestly, Hunter x Hunter 2011 is the best anime i've ever seen.
it has the best Characters/Villains i've seen.
in every arc the anime kinda change its theme, it's refreshing and you won't get bored.
The character development in this Anime/Manga is just unbelievable.
You will love every character, specially the villains.

also, There's only 2 filler episodes out of 148 (Which is a huge plus in my book)
Even tho the anime stopped, the ending was actually pretty good.
it didn't end in the middle of something.
it has a nice conclusion, So it won't leave you hanging.

i know i'm overhyping it, but trust me just watch it and you won't regret it.

Thanks for the response, I've also meant to say I've been reading Berserk and One Piece for 15 years, also I love Claymore, Gantz, Battle Royale, and series like that so I will check this out and just enjoy it for what it is and whatever happens with the hiatus so be it, b/c I've heard nothing, but good things.

Why do you consider those two episodes so? In both deus ex machina was used, unlike earlier problems they weren't solved logically... so, I'm not sure why those fights are so special.

That's an understandable reaction to that arc since the pacing slows down some. There's a lot of build-up at the beginning of the arc, but I think the pay-off is worth it.

Most people consider the Chimera Ant Arc to be the best arc in the series, and one of the best arcs in shounen. I would recommend that you continue it and decide whether you want to continue the show after that. The following arc is almost nothing but the politics of the Hunter's Association...
