Voice Actor for BingBong...

Not that Richard Kind didn't do a good job playing BingBong, but I think it would've been even better if Robin Williams could do the voice for the pink elephant...

Naw, Alan Rickman is an amazing actor (was an amazing actor), but I think his voice would've been too deep for Bing-Bong. Like, I don't know if he would've been able to possess that cheerful voice that Bing-Bong had.

I'm afraid you missed the joke. I didn't suggest Alan because of his ability, but rather the fact that he's dead. It's in response to person in the post suggesting Robin Williams. Hence all the suggestions after mine for other dead celebrities.

reply

Blisteringlogic, she's right. Rickman's voice is far too deep. Someone like Philip Seymour Hoffman would better fit the character.

I guess you didn't bother to read my post explaining why I suggested Alan Rickman...

reply

Not sure if you noticed, but Philip Seymour Hoffman died two years ago

Oh, I am an utter moron! I totally missed your joke! It's too early, where's my coffee?

I don't know if the voice work was done before Williams died, but I think that this would have cut too close to home for him. He was suffering, if I remember, from "full body dementia," or something like that.

Also, even before he got this age-related disease, he did too many self-important movies like Patch Adams and What Dreams May Come. Some e-pen pals on a movie board I used to frequent had given up on him, and when I gave Man of the Hour (IIRC--it's the one where RW plays a Ross Perot-style presidential candidate) a negative review, they thanked me for taking one for the team.

Lewy body dementia, a progressive degenerative disease where abnormal "Lewy bodies" form in the brain.

David Bowie for Bong Bong!

I think Dom Deluise would have been good.

I agree. Or Rowan Atkinson.

No Kind did not do a good job, he did a great job. Perfectly cast.

Kurt Cobain should have voiced him.

Heath Ledger would have made a great Bing Bong.

It should have been River Phoenix.

William Shakespeare would have been great, since he, you know, was an actor.
