Hollywood trying to sugar coat a violent video game to make money from more than just the fans of the game.
Yes and no.
I heard they were making a movie revolving around GTA but that would focus on the creators and the development on the game rather than an adaptation. However I heard that they encountered some legal issues with Rockstar but after that I haven't heard anything.
Which is a shame because as a concept a movie revolving around the development and creation and controversy regarding such a video game would be very interesting.
