I hope this does well, but I just don't see it happening with the date they are releasing it.
Will it impact future games if it flops?. (Huge fan of them!).
Nope :) Ubisoft can handle it if the film does not well financially. It's part of their strategy with this film.

shareThey said it because they produce the film but they were more there for the artistic than financial aspect, so it would have to make a huge BO for their share to bring them money. The other producers (who put the real money) will make much more money on the film. Ubisoft hopes to sell more games and merchandising after the movie. The goal is the promote AC universe
shareAlso, some of their other games are getting movies Watch Dogs, ect. I think though the people who put up the money don't expect a flop. Looks better then Fantarstic Four did anyway.
