Guaranteed To Be a Flop

1. Rogue One is dominating the box-office right now and Assassin's Creed has no chance of knocking it off the top spot.

2. Video Game movies have a bad reputation and the reactions to the trailers have been less than stellar.

3. The marketing campaign has not been that great and there is still a lack of awareness and interests from the general public with less than a week before release.

4. The fact that reviews aren't being released until the eve of it's release pretty much is making it well known that the film isn't good.

5. The budget being possibly as much as $200 million is way to high for a movie like this that isn't already a well-established movie franchise which makes it an incredibly risky investment alone.

True but the movie doesn't necessarily have to be at the top spot to make money, surely.

No, but the final trailer is actually quite good. Though I agree that video game movies in general have a bad reputation.

I don't know, that seems kind of worrying.

Just found out that the embargo ends on Monday, the day before, so that's not quite true.

Agree and it probably wasn't a good idea to open it next to Rogue One.

We'll see though, maybe it won't flop and maybe it will but we won't know until Monday.
