Could this possibly break the trend of poor VG movies?
Could Assassinβs Creed possibly break the so-called 'video game movie curse' started by the Super Mario Bros movie? Three other video game movies came out this year (if you could count The Angry Birds Movie as one) and those movies became mediocre to poorly receive by critics. Can the reception of this movie perform better with critics this time around, according to Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic?https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_based_on_video_games#International
It would need to do a lot better than Final Fantasy and Mortal Combat to break that trend.
