Fast Cuts do not Create Exciting Action Sequences

I was expecting to enjoy this movie. I like having fun, and I like watching films where I don't have to think a great deal. I was epecting this to be a true popcorn movie.
Unfortunately, I had to walk out about an hour in, because the fast cuts (I counted 30 in less than a minute during one scene) were making me feel nauseous, and I don't normally suffer with motion sickness.
The last film I remember watching that had that many cuts in such a short space of time was Blade 3, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that that was a less than stellar movie.
I feel very let down.
I hope I'm not the only one.

Agreed.
Saw the average reviews but thought "at least there will be good action and parkour" but no there was neither.
I almost walked out halfway through but stayed, unfortunately.

Toffee apples don't exist. They're the product of centuries of myth first perpetuated via word-of-mouth by agrarian societies, and subsequently used by shadow governments all over the world to control the populace. I suppose you believe in baked Alaska, too. Wake up, sheep.

I'm honestly baffled by the fairly recent trend towards whole movies full of shaky-cam and/or fast cutting. I mean, it may work on occasion as a change-up, but it's the go-to style for hack action directors everywhere. Why? Does anyone actually think it works??
