Horrible Performance!

This is a TERRIBLE performance of a great play. All the tone and humor is lost in the wooden acting! Do yourself a favor...watch Kenneth Brannagh's 1993 version. It actually gets the humor...and has some AMAZING performances!

That's what your wife told me about you.

Ha haha. I hope he's got some balm for that burn.

yes, that completely unrelated comment hurt so bad.

I'm glad you admit it. It takes great strength.

You seem, like the film, to be oblivious to subtext.

reply

You seem to have some weird obsession with this film. I usually ignore things I don't like. It's how I live such a relaxed stress free life.

reply

Im just fascinated that people like such a piece of crap.

reply

Nah, you're obsessed. Find some happiness in your life. A girlfriend. A boyfriend. Don't try and spoil others' good times. It shows you for the child you really are.

Funny troll is funny.

reply

No you're not.

reply

This is about on par with the level of wit in the film.

Don't knock Shakespeare just because you can't understand his work. Children these days.

"Children these days". Meanwhile you have a *beep* CM Punk quote attached to all of your posts.

Very observant. I see those reading classes are paying off.

Ehhh, it was entertaining... And Yeh it's Not Shakespeare - and Preach- You're Right- the 1994 Version Was better- but all entertaining.... I think StrightEdge means His Insecurity that Someone else could have an opinion- threatens his (her) masculinity- and means He has to go on boards to pick snit fights - to make up for- well, Ya know...it seems "transparent" to all reading the above, means not better than anybody- and measures half as much as most... All clear now?
Been Done Before- Right? Romeo & Juliet w/ Dicaprio & Clair Danes- in Modern Setting?...

Ok, you're going to have to give up your obsession with the hyphen because not once did you use it correctly. I know it's a fascinating symbol, but you can't just throw it in where ever. It must be used correctly.

Here's a list of hyphen rules:

Can't stop the signal.

Wrong

I am glad I am not the only person that feels this was bad...

reply

It's not horrible. It's just... very mediocre. It feels like Shakespeare's play turned into a TV sitcom.

reply

I found everyone great except for Benedick. Which is unfortunate, because I really like Alexis Denisof.

Loved Amy Acker's performance, and Clark Gregg makes Shakespeare seem conversational...David Tennant's Hamlet is the only other performance I have seen like that.

Though Harold Perrinau's Mercutio does that to an extent as well.
