Did the film feel like a Buffy reunion

I personally thought that the film felt like a Buffy reunion with so many of the actors who appeared in various roles.

It was a Joss reunion. There were people from Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse, and Agents of SHIELD.

Even 4 from the Avengers.

To me it mostly felt like a Dollhouse reunion or an Angel reunion.

Whedon tends to use many of the same actors in his movies, true.

But so do many other directors. Check out Scorsese and many other directors, and you will see the same thing.

I'm only on season 3, so it was more like a Firefly/Dollhouse reunion for me.

You're on season 3 of Buffy? Are you having fun?

Seasons 2 - 5 were my favourites. For me they were the strongest dramatically, but I found them the funniest as well.

reply

No Buffy, no Willow, no Xander, no Giles, no Angel, no Cordelia, no Spike...

so no, it doesn't feel like a Buffy reunion.

reply

Tony Head was supposed to be in it, but wouldn't have been able to make it during the only time Joss could film. Clark Gregg ended up playing that part.

reply

There was not a single Buffy regular in this film, and though 3 had recurring roles only Tom Lenk was in more than one season. On the other hand the two leads were Angel regulars, and there were 2 regulars from both Dollhouse and Firefly as well.

yeah that's the only reason i watched it because of the very nostalgic cast from the Wheddonverse.
