This could be IT for Paul Walker

Just watched the trailer and it seemed he really gives quite powerful perfomance in this. This could be finally the movie where Paul Walker can show much more from himself than just a sidekick of Vin Diesel.

i have seen it. it's one of his better performances even though my most re-watched Paul Walker movies are... Fast & Furious (series)/Running Scared/Into the Blue.

i would give this a 6.5/10 (it's decent enough for a viewing but not something i would be in a hurry to see again. it's on the edge of a Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down for me (i.e. 6.5/10) but ill be a little generous and give it a Thumbs Up.)

running scared will always be his best performance to me.

Would have agreed (well, still do but obviously it's not the same anymore...)

Definitely thinkt that Paul Walker would have got some more recognition for his acting abilites (just like he did for "Running Scared" even if that was a little watched movie).

I think that Paul Walker was a really decent actor when he was able to connect with the material he got on a more personal level ("Hours" is obviously one of these movies - see the whole father/daughter angle).

His death is such a shame on so many levels. Still don't know where to begin with. Can't wait *addsarcasmhere* for the horribly cheesy Academy Award tribute with the gallery of the actors who died. Ugh. Praising him then even if he was bashed so often(and was right to turn his back to all things industry unless he had to promote one of his movies).

Not surprised but of course somebody here had to make fun out of your original post. Just insensitive and not very smart (see date of your post).

I have never thought of Paul Walker as a great actor. He has always been sympathetic guy with enough carisma to care about his roles. He was mostly in action films so after seeing the trailer for Hours and it seemed that he might have the chops to pull of some more serious and dramatic role. Still haven't had the chance to see the film.

I'm really glad that Paul was able to make this movie and complete it. Because if anyone ever doubts his ability as an actor they can just watch this movie and all doubts go out the window. I even look at Matthew McConaughey's performance in Dallas Buyers Club and think... is that performance even better than Paul's? I can't believe Paul wasn't nominated for an academy award. I don't think anyone else could have done this role as good as Paul. A great person and a great actor.

I really liked Hours, and though Paul had given a great performance, I'd say, as great if not better than in Running Scared. RS was an action film and it is what we're used to see him in, while Hours is completely different, being all about the emotional bond he develops with his newborn baby girl and how he reacts to what's happening around him...having said that, there is no comparison between his acting in Hours and Matthew's acting in DBC. I am no fan of Matthew and would go as far as saying, there is something I dislike about him but can't put my finger on what it is that turns me off about him, but regardless of my personal feelings for him, his acting in DBC was impeccable from beginning to end, not one false note or moment in his acting. Hands down, a very well deserved nomination and Oscar win.
