Where were you during Hurricane Katrina impact?

On August 29 (2005) Katrina's storm surge caused 53 different levee breaches in greater New Orleans, submerging eighty percent of the city.

I remember watching CNN in a Copenhagen, in a hotel. It was unbelievable to me that it was happening in a rich state like USA, floodings and crime, beheaded body at stadium. Horrible.

On August 25th it blew through Southern Florida where I resided with my father. I was terrified. When it hit New Orleans I was at home watching it on TV. That year was the worst year for hurricanes for the US (number wise) and that was also my first time living in south Florida. Talk about a warm welcome. I missed over a month of school due to all of the hurricanes so I didn't mind much.

I was at a hotel in Baton Rouge. I had evacuated the storm with my family.
