4/10. Here's why:

HOURS came out 2 weeks after Paul Walker's death. Why did it take him so long to show that he can actually act?! He carries the whole movie! Without him, I doubt the movie would've been touching (specially at the end). Plus, he has good chemistry with Génesis Rodríguez. Writer/Director Eric Heisserer realized that the premise had potential for dramatic moments and thrilling moments. Too bad that he couldn't decide if he was making a drama or a slow thriller. This indecision really damaged the plot progression.

Any thoughts?

I have it 8, for the reason you list: Paul's acting. He did carry the whole movie. Incredible last movie for him.

Definitely his best work. (Unfortunately, that's not saying much.)
Probably the reason he agreed to do it -- it allowed him to show some range, plus a lot of screen time.

The "Here's why" crowd really piss me off!

I just watched this as was on Sony movie channel here in the UK.
I give it a 6 as like any films to do with disasters.
