Better than hipster critics make it out to be

Mr Right is not trying to be deep, thoughtful, or any of that stuff.

It wants to entertain and be fun to watch and it achieves that. And it does a better job at that compared to brainless action flicks, like F&F, or Transformers, or any of those style over substance movies, that just fail on every level.

I would agree the movie had more potential, than it utilized, but it was fun to watch. Sam Rockwell and Anna Kendrick pretty much carry the movie, without both of them it wouldn't be nearly as entertaining, but it was.

So give it a try.

Definitely had more potential, but with Sam Rockwell and Anna Kendrick being so darn likeable, it doesn't matter. It was a real fun movie.

I sorta disagree. I was really surprised by how much I liked this movie and thought it really hit a homerun. The movie's not the greatest thing ever... but based on the premise, I had VERY low expectations and hoped it would at least be watchable. Kinda got dragged into seeing it, honestly.

I was very happy I watched it and thought it was very entertaining...

To be fair, it reminded me a little bit of my viewing experience with the 1999 movie "Forces of Nature" though - which is another movie I was very surprised to like as much as I did (but I know that "Forces of Nature" tends to not be very well-received by others). Heck, I still wish the director of "Forces of Nature" had been able to direct more films after that... thought she showed tons of potential.
