Very boring
Was looking forward to this but found it extremely boring.
shareagreed, it could have been much better.
i think you can say that there's something amiss when the best thing about a movie are the movie poster and the logo.
i have been looking forward to this movie as well because i like the actors and i like science fiction thrillers, but it soon became clear that i'm watching a film that won't live up to it's potential.
this impression didn't change throughout the movie and while i wouldn't call it hopelessly bad, i still was kinda glad when it was over. i don't think that was the desired effect of the movie.
flawed points were the acting, which seemed a bit unnatural and forced by the even more flawed writing, which created entirely too much conflict between the main characters, for my taste.
when watching a movie like this i'm ok with accepting a basic premise, even if it isn't perfectly realistic, but in this case that wasn't enough because of the continuous technically illogical actions and events.
as a comparison, i just read "the martian", the book the upcoming movie is based upon, and while the movie can still go both ways, the book was just a delight to read, especially from a technical perspective.
all in all i'm disappointed by a movie that could have been decidedly better with a better script, better technical consultation and generally better execution.
3/10
Yeah, I have to agree with you on that. I was looking forward to this because the premise was interesting and I love post-apocalyptic movies, but nothing much happens in this one, but at least the acting was good. Still worth a watch if you are fan of PA movies.

I mean it's not a masterpiece, but honestly, I thought it was a very good movie. Almost nothing happens it's true, but it made me feel on the edge of my seat. I believe in reality this is how we would act, considered the facts and I thought that it was something entirely different to other movies out there. Sometimes less is more and this one succeeded clearly for me. It is not pretentious first of all and I do not think you really need high quality full of explosions to make a good movie.
shareyeah id say it was a good movie up until the ending when the obviously disturbed guy won.
if something goes wrong, leaving me clueless, and i try to help the other guy survive.. id be pretty pissed when finding out he was trying to kill me for no good reason.
i usually like action movies and whatnot where the bad guys actually win for once, but in this case? *beep* that guy.
What? Not enough cheesy special effects to keep you entertained?
Not enough explosions, slow-mo shootout scenes, or fast cuts, of course.
I thought it was a good, quiet, solid movie. No masterpiece, but had me watching for the whole time.
I liked how they had a bunch of old tech sprinkled throughout; it seems plausible if you're gonna design something to last potentially 100+ years, you want solid, proven and reliable machinery, something easy to repair, nothing complicated or hi-tech. CRTs, buttons, dials, switches. Simple mechanicals. No crazy software that doesn't work right half the time. iPads and touchscreens fine for non-essential fluff, but that stuff's gonna break in a decade. We landed on the moon with the computing power of a calculator, and even today the core essentials of space stations, shuttles and launch vehicles are dead simple.
I may have worked on this film.
For two solid weeks.
