Hahahaha. Did anyone catch the Glee reference?

It was so subtly blatant (yes, both) that I cracked up.
Rachel, Artie, Tina. Etc.
Holy goodness.

A little necrophilia never killed anyone.

haha i almost caught everyone!
rachel, tina, artie, mr, schue, mike, brittany, quin, mercedes, kurt
i loved it.
and the show was called "Sing" lol

reply

Ugh, could the reference be any less original ?? I am surprised someone didn't walk out in a track suit and a short blond wig.

reply

@tpaul411 you know that Ryan Murphy makes both shows, right? That's what was funny about it.

reply

Maybe some American Horror Story crossover would help this show. :-)

reply

Yes, Drama, I realize that Ryan makes both shows. I just find his self-referencing to be unoriginal. I just want to say to Ryan "yes, we know you make both shows, do you have to club us over the head with clunky references ?" I would also like to say to Ryan "did you offer Ellen Barkin a role in this show for not giving her the part in 'The Normal Heart' as she deserved ?"

reply

And I loved how the girl who came up to him was called Clea! Brilliant! :D

I just watched the episode and came on here to comment on that, I loved it.

I think it's a hilarious parody of Ryan Murphy and showing that he doesn't take himself so seriously. I love that Clea is Bryan's favorite, making an obvious yet hilarious joke about Ryan and Lea, not to mention when Bryan says "you too Devon. Eh, eh, eh, I don't have time for your acting" making reference to Kevin as Artie. There have been other references to Glee throughout the season using "Sing" as the platform for that and I love that Ryan can laugh at himself.

reply

It took me a minute before I realized the guy in the wheelchair was Artie and then another cast member was wearing a sweatervest and there were a bunch of Cheerios. haha... I thought it was a great meta moment.

Doth mother know you weareth her drapes?

reply

I gave up regularly watching Glee when I started New Normal. But I'll casually catch an episode now and again just to get a good laugh at how terrible it is, but this week's ep, all I could think about was how it's basically just an episode of the show that Bryan runs. ...and it actually made it that much more enjoyable.

There's actually been 3 or 4 episodes that reference GLEE.... To bad these shows aren't on the same network, so they could do actual crossovers....

You all realize that there is actually one actress that stars on this show, and had a re-occuring character on GLEE?
