According to the 3-18-13 issue of the National Enquirer, Ellen Barkin was given the boot from The New Normal for throwing tantrums & her Diva like behavior. They are sending Her character away to seek treatment for a drinking problem, where she will remain forever.

What differences it makes?She is not coming back and so is rest of star cast .This show is not returning for season with .7 demo rating.
