Was anyone else irritated that Rocky turned out 2 b a mom?

Was anyone else irritated that Rocky turned out 2 b a mom? I thought she was this really cool character (I still think she's cool) but all of a sudden she has a toddler!?! I thought it was really great that here was this strong, successful, nice career woman who didn't need to define herself by any man or child. Once again, the mainstream has reduced all women in media to the stereotype of witch (substitute a b), working girl, or mother. Really getting sick of it. How are we ever expected to make it on our own when entertainment brainwashes us into believing only these 3 roles r possible?!?!?!

Is there something wrong with being a career woman and a mom? Cuz that seems to be what the show is giving us with Goldie and Rocky... and they're not the first tv career women moms either. (I'm thinking Lorelei Gilmore for one...)

It was weird not because of the fact she is a single-working-mom, but actually noone see it coming, one day she was really sassy and spirt-free and then she wants a baby? And even worse how she could get the baby so easily I mean i know in TV everything can happen but I thought adopting a child wasn't easy as buy a new pair of pants.

Not irritated exactly, but surprised. And I don't think it's a good decision in the long run (if the show continues). In the finale every time they showed Rocky with the baby in her arms it just seemed like this pointless weight she was carrying around.

It annoyed me because she seemed to adopt or foster the baby so quick. She turned up one day, wanted to get a donation back. Saw a cute kid and suddenly decided she wanted to be a mam. Most people struggle to even get a look in at adoption agencys and she just turns up and leaves the same day.
