Seriously cancelled

They keep canceling the good shows and leave *beep* that needs to end on tv seriously???

It should've been cancelled. The show is like the gay equivalent of black face. This may come as a shock to some, but gay folks don't just talk about how gay they are all the time. The show's painful attempts at social commentary were heavy handed and obvious.

However, I did like how the show's mere existence was enough to tick off a lot of bored soccer moms who can't just let others live as they choose.

I don't know why anyone thinks that television shows and television characters are supposed to represent ALL of a demographic. I'm sorry to tell you this, but there ARE some "gay folks" (to use your words) who do talk about how gay they are "all the time" (and I use your "all the time" as well, since the show did NOT talk about being gay "all the time".)

So while the show didn't represent ALL gay people, it did represent a majority - the Bryan's who are flamboyant and don't care what YOU think about it, and the David's who AREN'T openly obvious about their sexual orientation. It represented the bigots with Barkin and the open minded with Shania and Goldie. It represented what it's like to live in a politically correct world, where no one is actually politically correct! It used farce and racism to represnt actual acts and words that people say aloud to others every. single. day.

It just makes me laugh. It was as "real" as all television is. As real as the "reality" shows that keep getting renewed and created, except it was a bit more poignant and meaningful about it.

This was a terrible show and I'm glad it got cancelled. It should have never been green lighted in the first place.
