Hotel Changling, What it means to SHINE

Regarding the hotel and grounds changing. Stanley was an extreme perfectionist and never makes mistakes. Anything in his movies that may look like a mistake is actually a clue.

In The Shining, the hotel does not change, your "perception" of the hotel changes, as it does for the people in the hotel. The main clue is in the movie's name "Shining". To shine is not just to transmit and/or receive (ESP), but to change realities for the receivers. The hotel shines, as do certain people. Most people are oblivious to shiners, like Wendy, until the transmission becomes so powerful and involves additional local people, then Wendy receives big time, especially considering Jack is the most powerful shiner even though he never realized it, or realized that he shined at all, or that shining even exists - which is why he went mad.

Stanley played a big trick on the audience, not only do the characters in the movie have reality change, but so do you. The "movie" shined and you received.

Note: The documentary Room 237 is a pos and did nothing to reveal or enhance Stanley's works. Makers of Room 237 are nothing more then a bunch of parasites.

Wrong. It is explained in the book and film.
Shining refers to someone with a message from higher powers, usually done under the influence of moonshine or any alcohol or drug.
The American Indians used tobacco and the ancient Greeks used drugs for their prophetess/oracles to make predictions.

Scat man said something, was it his mother used to do it? and he recognized the boy had a message (murder)like a shining.
