San Junipero *beep* on Brokeback Mountain
As far as lgbt stories go, this must be one of the best, most thought provoking, most original romances of ALL TIME

Agreed! I'm excited to watch it a second time.
shareI laughed out loud at your thread title Femme_De_Stannis

Yeah, I agree. It was probably the best lesbian love story I've seen done overall. There was a lot of emotion, chemistry, and it was very interesting and unique. Kelley was captivating and Yorkie was sweet. I loved the backdrop of San Junipero also, and the ending was just perfect. Nice change of pace for Black Mirror.
shareCould not agree more.
shareAre the two actresses real life lesbians? They were so convincing I think they must be.
shareI don't know about that, but as far as Black Mirror episodes go, it was terrible. There weren't any negative consequences to the technology (they seemed to go out of their way to make it perfect), and it had a magical happy ending. That's not what the show is about.
shareI feel while it was lighter in tone, there are still negatives to the technology.
There would be massive religious objections, families broken apart possibly because of loved ones decisions to either move on into death or to stay in San Junipero, the Quagmire club where people who feel lost and emotionally numb fight and have sex as so they can 'feel' something e.g. Wes.
I understand that is unusual for a BM ep
to be this light, but I thought it was brilliantly shot, edited, acted with great plot.
Sometimes in BM i feel that the 'gimmick' e.g. the radical piece of tech takes over the plot, so I enjoyed watching the characters existing in the tech, but having their own, seperate problems.
