I'm sure this has been pointed out before, but if he didn't get greedy and try to take a picture of the game studio to make extra money, his phone would have been shut off and the experience never would have been interrupted by his mom calling.

Also, since he was clearly trying to make extra cash with the picture, why would he send it to a girl he just met, who gave him the idea in the first place? She easily could have cashed in on it while he was still in the testing.

While it was sort of his fault, all he was doing was trying to leak some spoilers about a video game. I certainly don't think he deserved to die.

His thinking was also that Sonja would know who to sell it too and -- since she was the kind of woman who let him stay at her place -- that she would be nice enough to at least give him a cut of whatever she got.

Yeah, but he could have just saved the photo and showed it to her on his phone. He's basically giving it away by sending it to her.

She turned him on to the gaming place, so I can see him sending her pictures straight away. She was a gamer as well. I think I would have done the same thing had someone turned me on to that gaming place.
