Let's put the hate in perspective

I'm noticing a lot of hatred for the new season, primarily pointing out that Netflix has ruined the series. I find it rather odd, as I think the show has improved vastly over the first season and is at least on par with the second season.

Let us not forget that this is a show which began with the Prime Minister of the UK F-ing a pig on national television (or the internet, I can't remember clearly). Is that the bar? Pig F-ing? That was one episode where I just couldn't suspend disbelief. I don't care if it kills a thousand people. . . I would never F a pig. A million? Still not F a pig. The entire population of Earth? Still a hard sell.

I just don't get it. I've loved Black Mirror since the start, and whilst admittedly there are a few dud episodes throughout each season, and that is of course the repercussions of an anthology series, this season has felt to me like a marked improvement.

Each episode feels like a mini movie, with a higher budget and more fleshed out themes. It's not perfect by any means, but at it's best it is solid, gripping and thought provoking, and that's more than can be said for a lot of stuff outside of netflix/amc.

i would rather have another episode about the prime minister *beep* a pig in this season than that epic fail that was playtest.

"Epic fail"

Opinion dismissed.

I loved playtest

Put the few negative posts on imdb into perspective and realize that this third season has been received incredibly well by both critics and fans alike with a 93%/96% approval rating on RT. Netflix has already ordered a fourth season.

Great news. It totally deserves it.

Those who hate it only do b/c they can't understand it.

I found the first season to be sh*t. The pig shagging being the worst of the lot.

Pretty much came here to say this. The only reason I started the show at all was because of all the praise I'm hearing for the 3rd season, but I started from the beginning and the first episode of the 1st season was not particularly good.

It was extremely heavy handed and illogical in the end and left me rather disappointed. It was well made and acted but the story was not really that good.

I agree. Can't comprehend the hate. Netflix is not to blame here, and people are forgetting that Charlie Brooker is still writing the 3rd season. This season feels a lot more whole for me. I found 15 million merits and the waldo moment to be unwatchable, but this season has been exceptional for all episodes, so that in my book is a vast improvement.

Really? Call me crazy but I'd screw a big to save lives. I'd also probably do it for a price.
