I was confused. I didn't get what happened. So were they always old geriatrics just having a relationship in an artificial world or did they actually know each other when they were younger?

shareOkay... well, interesting story then. I think I saw little glimpses of what it was (or could have been) but was just slightly put off by how it switched gears so fast from the artificial world into the real futuristic world.
