S03E06 is so bad

The 2 detectives are really annoying, and using bees as weapons is so stupid.

I felt like I was watching a cheap TV movie. A bad one.
I'm sorry if the episode is getting really better at the end, but I couldn't keep watching after the scene in the bathroom. I never stop watching a film/episode usually, but this time I don't know...

How come the company who made them cannot simply put the servers off ?
If a jacket and a shower curtain, are enough to stop thousands of them, why the hell didn't they simply put a jacket on her head(and anybody targeted by bees) ? Or even better, a helmet ?

reply

Because they didn't know what turning off the servers did, and when the did off the servers all the bees kill all the people that used the #DeathTo hashtag.

They were also stressed bear in mind so werent thinking about obvious methods (get her a beesuit, go in a submarine etc). But we got a hint later when they put someone in a container but the bees werent crazy and just attacked everyone outside the container

reply

They didn't put some one in the container. They were trying to blow up the hives, hoping that would stop the bees in the area. There was a hive on the container.

reply

So did the bees get mad and kill all the innocent soldiers around it?

reply

The bees defended the hive after the soldiers tried to blow it up with explosives.

I was still able to enjoy the episode, but it pissed me off a lot. Once they figured out that the bees were using facial recognition, why didn't they just tell everyone to put bags on their heads?!?!? All the law enforcement personnel were behaving idiotically. At one point, the most likely suspect tells them that he needs to be alone to figure out whats going on. The detectives "Oh yeah, that's fair. We'll just leave you alone so you can kill anyone you feel like right now." He turned out to be innocent, but that doesn't matter.

reply

I agree, that was INCREDIBLY fristrating. And VERY little follow up with the guy who killed THOUSANDS of people by saying "*beep* you" to the four other people in the room saying."WAIT!! This might *beep* shut up!"

reply

The real problem with the episode is that the bees had no programming to kill people ... they had no understanding of human biology and they couldn't individually be programmed to intuit it, so the bee as a weapon was just dumb ... having suspended my disbelief for that particular point, I enjoyed the rest of the episode

reply

I'm pretty sure the bees were reprogrammed to act like the targets' heads were a hive. That's what I got out of the scene where the creator says they tried to switch hive "jurisdiction" when it went offline.

The programmer just told the bees that the intended victim's head was their hive. I'm not really sure if burrowing through brain matter is a normal activity for a bee in it's hive, but... oh well.

I was so happy when i was looking at the list and saw the last one would be 90 minute long... then when I started watching it, the theme was tired played out detectives like there aren't enough shows revolving around that genre. I didn't even finish the episode. What a waste.

reply

I agree. Bad acting, tired story, ugly cgi, primitive writing. Shame because some episodes are very cool.

reply

I like that episode because now I know that the Waif is actually hot AF.

reply

That was my main takeaway too.

Clever things make people feel stupid and unexpected things make them feel scared

Thank you, I thought I was the only one who hated this episode. The main detective was horrible and killer robot bees? Really???

reply

I appreciate the synopsis. I tried again to watch it and got through another minute and a half.
