White Christmas Question

In White Christmas the character that was so upset about his girlfriend was watching television and "Hot Shots" came on. This made me wonder...

The characters in the "Fifteen Million Merits" episode live in a Dystopian future where they earn merits by riding stationary bikes like hamsters on wheels. But is that taking place at the same time as Black Christmas?

OR...Since the girlfriend from White Christmas was singing the song that Abbie sang at her audition (and said it had been sung by her mom and grandma), was the girlfriend actually Abbies grandma, and the Dystopian future in 15MM just two generations in the future? Which makes no sense because the girlfriend and her daughter both died.

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH.

Love the show though...

That's an interesting question. I can only point to the series "The New Outer Limits", where it was also an anthology of stories. Most of them were obviously separate and in "different universes", but they did directly link a few of them in the same universe. Great series....

In this case I don't think so, but who knows. I think they are more concerned with screwing with our senses of technology influencing our social tendencies and personal morality.

They do a damn good job of it...

Well no, because as you pointed out, they both died.
It's obviously just a song that was popular at the time.
