San Junipero / Lucid dreaming

Wouldn't the San Junipero virtual reality be similar to something called Lucid dreaming, in which we can control the actions and outcomes of what we dream about during sleep? It makes me wonder...

From what I understand, lucid dreaming is a purely individual experience. You can't share a lucid dream with another person. But San Junipero was a collection of many people all experiencing it together. They're quite different things.

No because the nerd can't seem to get any fanny. When I have a lucid dream, I get as much fanny as I want from who I want.
