White Bear - Her returning memory (spoilers)

There were several points during the episode where the main character (I forgot her name) remembers something, first the words 'white bear', then when she hesitates to get into the van, then the man who drove her to the woods, then the fact that they were going to the woods to eat, and lastly when she gets the feeling that 'white bear' isn't what the girl says it is. The point is that the memory erasure process isn't as effective as they probably would have have hoped, and no doubt with each successive rerun, she was remembering more and more. So do you think she'd ever remember enough to evade or even kill the staff and escape the site? Or would the staff just change the actors and tweak the story occasionally so she can never remember too much?

I thought at the end they should have shown some sort of staff meeting to discuss any issues or concerns, and they could have mentioned what she remembered and discuss whether they needed to change the story a little.

It could be that she just remembers the same amount each time. Since we only see one event we don't know if she has been remembering more and more. In which case, she will never fully understand.

I also thought about them changing the story occasionally, but from a business perspective. They are running a kind of amusement park, so freshening the story would keep the crowds coming. (And, apparently, their little children, because what a fun family outing!)

Interesting I came across this tonight, as I just read an interview with the show's creator and one of the things they talked about was the possibility of returning to any of these stories. (They also talked about re-using cast members, kind of like American Horror Story.)

He said White Bear is a story he comes back to in his head from time to time - and hinted that they might return to it at some point - for this very reason. To explore the possibility of her leaving clues around or tools/weapons planted or something like that.

He mentioned that it would be really tough to do, though, because the set they used has been completely developed over. (He also said that the set kind of drove the story. It was something else when they were scouting the location, and when they were scouting he was told the original idea was too expensive. He looked around...neighborhood, woods, gas station...but it was the fence that finally "triggered" the idea. Suddenly, "Whoa! I've got it!" And off he went to re-write.)

I think they could totally get around the set thing by making it the same premise, but a few years down the road. Different criminal, different crime, some of the same "players" but some different, different scenario - different set.
