How is a crossword puzzle used to discover math geniuses? Crosswords are more for humanities people who have a wealth of arcane knowledge stuffed in their noggins. I’d have thought math, codebreaking or even sudoku puzzles would have been better choices for the task.
shareI think there is a connection. Crosswords use language to connect a set number of letter or letters to a given number of boxes.
Many math genuisus have poor language/people skills, so having a diverse group of thinkers is the smart thing to do.
Sudoku was invented in 1979, but probably would have been used if around during WWII.
