7/10 ....... more accuracy would have bumped it to 8/10

Turing was a eccentric with OCD, but that led him to embark on various projects during the war. He spent 2 years in the U.S. cracking the Germans' naval code and working on a Turing machine there.

The Poles were actually the first to devise rotary-based deciphering equipment, but he perfected the computerized detection of "contradictions" that sped up the machines' productivity.

The movie kind of streamlined his entire portfolio of work into Bletchley Park and a single machine.

I did like that they at least included a nod to his being an avid long-distance runner. Wikipedia cites a source ... which states he occasionally ran 60 miles from Bletchey to London for war room briefings.

I can imagine he loved his residency in the U.S. since it offered much more open space for running.

I couldn't believe when I read his filmography that he played a toilet (no joke) in According to Jim
