I get that in movies like this composite characters have to exist.

But come on...were Turing's commanding officers anywhere CLOSE to this antagonistic? Dance is laying it on pretty thick, but I don't blame him considering how the character is written as being completely out to get Turing.

no. Denniston's descendents were very upset by the way he was portrayed and say he wasn't like that at all, but naturally the film makers couldn't care less.
